Awkward Moves is our service for the parts of a move that don’t go the easy way — a wardrobe too wide for a standard doorway, a bend in the stairs a sofa won’t take in one piece, a spiral staircase, or a property where the front approach simply isn’t wide enough for a normal lorry. The final price depends heavily on exactly what the awkward element is — whether furniture needs to be partly dismantled to get it through a doorway, whether extra hands are needed on a tight stair turn, or whether the vehicle has to park further away and goods carried further to reach the door. We run this service from our depots in Stourbridge and Kidderminster and our Pattingham head office, and across our 30 towns we see a real mix of period cottages, terraces and village properties where access is genuinely part of the job.
